SERVICE

The Service

Faith Chapel Recovery Community meets at the Billings campus every Tuesday night from 7-8pm in the atrium “Quiet Room.” (Please enter through the atrium doors on the southwest side of the building.) We begin the meeting with announcements and prayer. This is followed by an introduction of the meeting topic by the FCRC chair person. During this meeting we share our experience, strength, and hope as it relates to our personal experience, Jesus, the 12-Steps, or the spiritually transformative journey we are currently on. Whether you are spiritually unresolved or resolute in your convictions, you are welcome! The meeting will conclude with prayer and invitations to take next steps. We encourage people to hang around after the meeting to consider getting a sponsor. The last Tuesday of every month is Anniversary Night. It is a time in which we celebrate lengths of sobriety by handing out crosses as a tangible reminder of the changes we have and are making in our lives. FCRC offers quality childcare during this meeting from 6:30pm to 8:25pm in partnership with Faith Chapel kids ministry. We are looking forward to joining you in your journey!

THE LEADERSHIP TEAM

(All leaders are listed alphabetically by first name)

Robert Nelson

Campus Lead / Pastor of Guidance and Care

Robert Nelson grew up in Wyoming to parents recently rescued by Jesus from their life of addiction. Even though he had an incredible family, a secret addiction to sex and love began at an early age which was linked to 9 years of hard drug and alcohol use. In Robert’s 6th rehab, it was a desperate cry to Jesus and working a 12-Step program with a sponsor that brought about a Spiritual Awakening. Robert has been clean and sober since October 2004 from drugs and alcohol. It was in 2008 that he moved to Montana, where he surrendered to Jesus as Lord of his life, met his wife Meghan and was called into ministry. Robert served bi-vocationally from 2009 till 2021 in Montana. He was introduced to Pure Desire in 2017 and since July 2017 he has been sober from the sex and love addiction which saved and transformed his marriage. He served alongside his bride and 4 girls at Faith Chapel since 2019 as a volunteer and then as the Guidance and Care Pastor since 2021. Robert is extremely passionate about Jesus, his recovery, wife and family, and helping others discover how loving and powerful Jesus truly is. Robert is honored to help others know Jesus and His ability to walk with anyone in sobriety and recovery. He wants everyone to know God's intimate Restoration in every dimension of their relationship and discipleship.
