SERVICE
The Service
Recovery Church Shelby meets every Wednesday at 6:30 PM. We begin the service with relevant worship music, followed by a sermon or testimony and then a 30 minute "open share"time in which people can share what is on their hearts in a small group setting. The last Wednesday of every month is anniversary night. It is a time in which we celebrate lengths of recovery and hand out crosses as a tangible reminder of the changes God has made in our lives.

THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
(All leaders are listed alphabetically by first name)
Andrew Freden
Pastor
Someone told me they've never had 60 days sober in their life, I laughed! But when I thought about it, I'd never had 30 days in a row of continuous sobriety. I drank and drugged myself into such a hopeless hole, there was absolutely nothing left for my to do but die. Then Christ came, Jesus my Lord...my Savior pulled me out of the hell I was in and I was reborn a new creation!!
Gary Shealy
Servant Leader
God has given me the skills to do carpentry which has been my profession for most of my life. My passions are farming and fishing which I believe are God’s callings on my life. I like to use those passions as opportunities to witness and encourage others. I help with technical needs in the audio and video booth at Recovery Church and I am excited to see God move in this ministry.
Jack Haynes
Pastor
Pastor Jack, was born into a fine Christian Home and began to serve the Lord at an early age. Serving several, churches while in College and after. Ordained in 1979 in the southern Baptist church and holding the positions of Minister of Music, Associate Pastor, and Minister of youth. Satan attacked through one of the church's leaders and members causing now-married Jack to leave the ministry and his wife to leave him. Working now in the secular world, Satan had his way leading Jack down the path of lawlessness and drugs. But, God still had his hand on Jack and in 1984 intervened in his life which began a long hard struggle back to the will of God. Treatment centers, jail, and relapses God would not turn his back on Jack because God had a plan. Jack knew God's plan but ran, ran, ran until God put him flat on his back with an illness that lasted until jack surrendered. In 2013, Jack went back to school through the Biblical ministries institute with the Cornerstone Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church where he received his credentials once again and began as Pastor of Trinity Church Shelby. Jack has always had a heart for those struggling with addiction and has wanted to help in a way no one or church helped him. He was not welcomed back to the church until the Pentecostal church accepted him. I believe this was all God's work. With Recovery Church, I now have a way to help others who are where I was. Blessings and Praise to the King of Kings and The Lord of Lords and my Savior Jesus Christ.
Jennifer Freden
Servant Leader
Through 31 years of struggling with addiction and alcoholism the pain to continue living had become unbearable. Jennifer fell to her knees and surrendered her life to Christ. She experienced the transformative power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in her own life. Working with families that struggle with substance abuse has become her life mission. She's currently serving families locally through a nonprofit organization that her husband and family launched in early 2022. She is a wife, a mother and a grandmother. She had been a member of Recover Church Movement since 2021.
Rose Shealy
Worship Leader
I work as a project manager in the steel construction industry and I help lead worship at Recovery Church. I prayed for God to show me how to reach my community better and this is where He lead me and I can already see HIs hand in this ministry. I am honored to serve along side the team at this location and I look forward to seeing what God will do.
