SERVICE
The Service
We begin the service with announcements followed by modern worship music and then a sermon, testimony or topic. After that, we hand out crosses as a tangible reminder of what we have asked God to help change in our lives. We then have a period of open sharing where we can discuss the topic or any other sobriety threatening issues. After service, we encourage people to stick around to meet others, talk directly with those who shared or spoke, and get a sponsor/sponsee. The last Monday of every month is our Anniversary service. This is a time in which we celebrate lengths of sobriety, greater than a year, by eating cake and by handing out crosses as a tangible reminder of the changes we have made in our lives with the help of God. We open the doors at 6:00 pm for people to come and hang out with one another.

THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
(All leaders are listed alphabetically by first name)

Aleia Smith
Servant Leader
My name is Aleia Smith. I was born and raised in New York and now reside in Tampa, Florida. I am a follower of Jesus Christ who became a part of Recovery Church Brandon because, when I prayed to God he advised me that my purpose in life is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and my testimony to help others by letting them know, how it was to grow up in a home with a parent who was an alcoholic. Over the past year, I was able to forgive and move on because of the RCM.

Mikey Blewett
Servant Leader
Mikey was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area. He has been part of the recovery community since February 26, 2018. Mikey has been married to his wife, Jennifer, since July 2009 and they have 3 boys. He completed his service in the United States Army in July 2022. He completed his bachelor’s degree in psychology, addictions and recovery, in December 2023 and is currently working on a Master's Degree in Pastoral Counseling, addictions and recovery.
