SERVICE
The Service
Recovery Church Clifton Forge begins with prayer and two worship songs, followed by a 30-minute message based on Scripture and the 12 steps. We then move into a group discussion to share honestly about our struggles, victories, and growth in recovery. It’s a space for support, encouragement, and accountability. Services close in prayer. Every 30 days, we host a special speaker meeting with a personal testimony and baptisms as we celebrate lives changed by Christ.

THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
(All leaders are listed alphabetically by first name)

Carl "Shorty" Wolfe Jr
Senior Pastor
Carl T. Wolfe Jr. (“Shorty”), born July 10, 1957, is a lifelong resident of Alleghany County, Virginia. He lives in Clifton Forge with his wife of 38 years, Tammy. Together, they have two children and six grandchildren. At age 40, Carl accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was delivered from addiction to drugs and alcohol. Since then, he has dedicated his life to ministry and currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Loving Life Fellowship Church. For the past 17 years, he has led a Christian 12-step recovery program at the Loving Life Community Center. Drawing from his own journey of freedom, Carl is passionate about sharing the hope of Christ with those struggling with hurts, habits, and hang-ups.

Sue Marion
Servant Leader
Sue, 59, lives with her husband of 41 years and is a proud mother of three and grandmother of three. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at age 49 and has since experienced freedom from worry, depression, co-dependency, and smoking. For the past 10 years, Sue has been an active member of Loving Life Fellowship Church and its Christian 12-step recovery program. She serves as a group leader and sponsor to other women and joyfully assists the pastors in any way she can. Her greatest passion is helping lead others to Christ and into the Kingdom of God.

Tammy Wolfe
Co-Pastor
Tammy Wolfe, 55, lives in Clifton Forge, Virginia, with her husband Carl, with whom she has shared 38 years of marriage. They have two children and six grandchildren. Tammy gave her life to Jesus at age 28 and has since been delivered from addiction to drugs and alcohol. She now serves as Co-Pastor at Loving Life Fellowship and has co-led a biblically based 12-step recovery program for the past 17 years. Tammy is deeply committed to helping others find the same freedom she has experienced and believes God has called her to share the hope of Christ with those struggling with hurts, habits, and hang-ups.

Tim Marion
Servant Leader
Tim, 61, lives with his wife of 41 years and is the father of three sons and grandfather to three grandsons. Though he accepted Christ as a child, Tim rededicated his life to the Lord in 2015 and was rebaptized in the river. He began attending the Christian 12-step program that same year with his brother, and after his first visit, told his wife, “We have issues, and we need to go.” They’ve been attending ever since. Tim now serves as a leader in the recovery program and provides accountability and support to many men. Delivered from drugs, alcohol, and smoking, he remains humble in his journey, often saying, “I’m a work in progress, but life is much better walking with Christ.”
