SERVICE
The Service
We begin the service with a welcome and greet one another with a handshake, a high five, or a hug followed by a time of contemporary worship and prayer. We share Recovery Community announcements and then move into a time of either a message or testimony. We end with offering of “surrender” crosses, some final thoughts, and then encourage people to hang around to meet others and get a sponsor/sponsee. The first Monday of every month is Anniversary Night. It is a time in which we have a guest speaker and celebrate lengths of sobriety by handing out crosses as a tangible reminder of the changes we have made in our lives. The second Monday of the month is an “open share” meeting.
We look forward to having you with us and walking with you wherever you may be on your recovery journey

THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
(All leaders are listed alphabetically by first name)

Matt Collins
Campus Lead
Matt Collins is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ whose life and ministry are built on the redemptive power of grace. After years of struggling with addiction and repeated attempts at recovery, Matt reached a point of true surrender before the Lord—an encounter that transformed his life. Today, he uses his “mess as a message” to share the gospel through the functional principles of the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Passionate about connecting with and discipling others who are battling addiction, Matt helps others discover the lasting hope and freedom found only in Jesus. He wholeheartedly believes in the mission of Recovery Church to bridge the gap between church sanctuaries and the rooms of AA, showing that faith and recovery can walk hand in hand toward healing and purpose.

Tim Schneider
Servant Leader
Hi, I’m Tim. I have been walking with the Lord for 10 years now in my sobriety. I am a grateful and thankful follower of Jesus Christ. It is by the grace of God that I am what I am today. I am married to my wife, Amy, who deserves much more credit than words can express, and has stood by my side faithfully through all the ups and downs. She also blessed me with an amazing son Holton, which is another faithful testimony to God‘s grace and transforming work in my life. My belief, if God can save this sinner, no one is beyond the saving Grace and Faithfulness of Jesus. My desire, by God‘s Grace and Power, is to see the captives held in the bondage of addictions set free and prisoners in the shadows of their past shame and guilt be delivered into the very real and true freedom in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe that through active seeking and willful surrender we can through the help of others and practical resources learn to manage our own lives, so that, we can be useful not only for ourselves, but ultimately for those around us, which is the highest reward we have in this life. Grateful to be of service to the recovery community and give back that which was so freely given to me.
