SERVICE

The Service

We meet every Thursday night at 6:00 at The Center in Conway, SC. We begin the service with a welcome and greet one another with a handshake, a high five, or a hug, followed by a time of contemporary worship and prayer. We share Recovery Community announcements and then move into a time of either a message, a testimony or a time of open share. We conclude with the offering of “surrender” crosses, some final thoughts, and then encourage people to stay and chat, and to find a sponsor/sponsee. The last Thursday of every month is Anniversary Night. It is a time in which we have a guest speaker and celebrate lengths of sobriety by handing out crosses as a tangible reminder of the changes we have made in our lives. We look forward to having you with us and walking with you wherever you may be on your recovery journey

THE LEADERSHIP TEAM

(All leaders are listed alphabetically by first name)

Andrew McDonald

Servant Leader

Servant, saved by His grace. Seasoned trial attorney blessed to come to the end of myself in addiction. Called into ministry to serve others and share His truth. “To be discipled and make disciples,” as His witness. Learning to love as He does. Gifted to teach the 12 steps, the Bible, Regeneration, Timothy Initiative Curriculum, and Reboot Trauma Recovery. Certified in Biblical Studies, Individual/Group Crisis Intervention & ASAP/EMDR Protocol. Served to begin Recovery/Discipleship Programs in the Dream Center of Southeast Texas and the Raleigh Dream Center. Grateful for the privilege of prayer and seek to be obedient in the Word.

Christine Costello

Servant Leader

Christine Costello, M.Ed., is a retired mental health professional who served as Director of a mental health and substance abuse outpatient clinic, as well as a psychiatric acute care and detoxification center. Drawing from her own lived experience of overcoming childhood trauma and addiction to alcohol, Christine has developed a deep passion for mentoring women in recovery. A dedicated member of the recovery community for nearly 30 years, Christine leads a Life Recovery ministry, facilitates Trauma Reboot Recovery classes, and mentors women in both their recovery and faith journeys. Her greatest passion is teaching and guiding women through the 12 Steps of Recovery into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ—empowering them to become Recovery Disciples who, in turn, help other women find healing and hope.

Lisa Hastings

Servant Leader

Hi. I'm Lisa Hastings. I was led to the Center and bring with me a variety of administration and event planning experience, but most of all, I come with a heart for Jesus and his people. After a marriage that was wrought with the effects of addiction, I have a special desire to serve those seeking recovery. A native of Connecticut, I have worked with many organizations such as Samaritan's Purse, Salvation Army, Mercy Ships, and have also served on the Board of Education for Groton Public Schools. I enjoy spending time with my kids, cooking, traveling, and witnessing the good news of Jesus Christ, our Savior.
