SERVICE
The Service
Recovery Church DeLand meets every Thursday at 7:00 PM. We begin the service with relevant worship music, followed by a sermon or testimony, and then the 30-minute open shared time in which people can share what is on their hearts. The last Thursday of every month is anniversary night, it is a time in which we celebrate lengths of recovery and hand out crosses as a tangible reminder of the changes God has made in our lives.

Dan Finlayson

My name is Dan, and I’m a grateful recovered alcoholic and a follower of Jesus Christ. I’m a born and raised Florida guy and a US Navy Veteran. After 40 years of heavy drinking and partying, I crossed that line where no human power, including my own, could stop my drinking. My passion is to show others how this prodigal son crawled out of the hog trough of addiction (it took 12 steps) and began my journey back to the Father, who was waiting with open arms. I’m grateful for the amazing blessing of Recovery Church and excited to be able to serve God’s most desperate kids.
