THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
(All leaders are listed alphabetically by first name)

Dan Ramlogan
Servant Leader & Campus Co-Lead
Dan considers it an honour and blessing to serve on the leadership team at Recovery Church Hamilton. He is passionate about recovery, having witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of addiction in his own family, and he knows the transformative power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Dan is committed to helping others experience the love, grace, and forgiveness offered through Jesus- the true source of hope and freedom. He is the co-founder of the LifeWork Project, a faith-and-work mentorship ministry, and currently serves as the Director of Compassion & Local Outreach for Hope Bible Church in Oakville, Ontario. Dan is blessed to be married to Michelle for almost 25 years, and together they are raising five precious children.

Dave Knill
Servant Leader & Campus Co-Lead
Dave Knill is a sinner saved by God’s grace with a deep passion to see others find freedom in Christ. “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” - John 8:32. Having witnessed the impact of addiction in the lives of family and friends, the Lord placed on Dave’s heart a desire to walk alongside those fighting this battle. He has been blessed to serve people on the streets of Hamilton who struggle with homelessness and addiction, and to work as a firefighter, providing care and support to families in times of tragedy and pain. Dave is excited to be part of the leadership team at Recovery Church Hamilton, helping others experience hope, healing, and purpose through genuine love and service. He is truly thankful for his wife, Marlene, and the gift of their three children.

George Schuurman
Servant Leader & Campus Co-Lead
Prior to ministry, George served as a police officer with the Toronto Police Service for 31 years. For many of those years, he battled a drinking problem that deeply impacted his life. In 2001, while training a new officer, God rescued George from himself and his destructive behaviours, using the hurting people on the streets of downtown Toronto to reveal his need for grace and transformation. By the grace of Jesus and through faith in Him, George found forgiveness, hope, freedom, and new life. In that season, God called him into ministry, and since 2009 he has been leading a recovery group at his church.
Today, George is passionate about helping others find the same freedom he discovered in Christ and is excited to see what God will do through Recovery Church Hamilton. By God’s grace, George and his wife Cathy have been married for 38 years. They are grateful for two adult children and eight wonderful grandchildren.
