THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
(All leaders are listed alphabetically by first name)

Chris Poma
Servant
Chris Poma, a longtime resident of Eastpointe, Michigan, has lived a life marked by resilience, faith, and dedication to helping others find hope through recovery. Married for over 50 years to his beloved wife Mary, Chris is the proud father of two sons and the joyful grandfather of five grandchildren who bring constant light to his life. In 1982, Chris made a life-changing decision to join a 12-step program. Since then, he has remained committed to living out the principles, disciplines and actions of the 12 Steps, which he believes offer a pathway from despair to hope. Chris is a strong proponent of the message that recovery is possible for anyone - no matter how lost they may feel - and that no one is ever truly beyond help. Central to Chris's journey is his unwavering faith in God. For him, recovery is not just a personal transformation, but a spiritual one. His Higher Power is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whose grace and guidance have carried him through both the darkest and brightest moments of his life.
Through his decades in twelve-step recovery, Chris has offered countless others the gift of his experience, strength, and hope. Whether mentoring newcomers, sharing his testimony, or simply lending an ear, Chris remains a living example of what it means to walk the road of recovery with humility, gratitude, and faith.
