Peter's involvement in ministry started when he was 5 years old and came home from his first church visit to ask his mom, "Do you know Jesus?" Not long after making his commitment to Jesus at 16, serving in the military, and getting married, he became entangled in a porn addiction that, despite seeking counsel and help from other church leaders for years while being a worship leader himself, would not relent until his first Celebrate Recovery meeting at age 49. The practical application of the 12 Steps to the gospel that led to the revelation of utter reliance on Jesus while also serving as a ministry leader was the key that has given him long-lasting clean time and has drawn him closer than ever to Jesus. His primary desire is to bring recovery to all believers, especially those who are new in the faith.

Though raised on the mission field and in church, Scott turned to a life of alcohol and drugs in his teen years, finally entering the rooms of AA shortly before his 30th birthday. Since getting sober, he has served in positions in AA in Northern California and NA here in Maricopa. Scott has served a local church in a number of roles, including as a Celebrate recovery ministry leader for many years. He has a burden to see the good news brought to the recovery community.
