SERVICE

The Service

Recovery Church North Phoenix meets every Friday night @ 6:30pm at The Crossroads Church in Anthem. We start every service with worship music, and most weeks will have a message or a lesson. That will be followed by 30 minutes broken out into smaller open share groups with table leaders. We will discuss the topic of the message or lesson. The last Friday of each month we will celebrate everyone's time followed by a testimony.

Dave Van Buskirk

Servant Leader

Growing up in a broken home and early childhood exposure to drugs and alcohol cleared a path to addiction at a young age. Though his mother, from time to time, would seek solace for their family in church services, they never regularly attended any one church. Dave never understood the gospel, nor does he ever remember hearing the message of the cross. As a young adult, he found himself very broken and with a serious addiction to both drugs and alcohol.

When it seemed like all hope was lost, he had a very powerful and life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ that set him free from the bondage of addiction. As he grew in his relationship with Christ, he felt called to proclaim this same message of freedom to others who struggle with addiction.

Michael Noland

Campus Lead

I struggled with addiction for most of my life, starting at the age of 12. I tried everything to find freedom—programs, strategies, and willpower—but nothing brought lasting change. Every moment of breakthrough would eventually end in relapse. That all changed when I had a radical encounter with Jesus. From that moment on, I’ve been completely free. I fully credit my freedom to Jesus for delivering me and to the incredible mentors who have discipled me along the way. For me, true transformation came through a combination of deliverance and discipleship. I believe with all my heart that no one is too far gone, and in a single moment, Jesus can change everything. Today, I'm blessed to be married to my amazing wife, Rachael, and together we have four incredible kids, ages 9 to 23. I'm living proof that hope is real—and His name is Jesus.
