SERVICE
The Service
We meet every Tuesday at 7 PM for contemporary worship music, followed by a message or testimony, prayer and a 30-minute "open share" time in which people can share what is on their hearts in a small group setting. The last Tuesday of every month is Anniversary Night. It is a time in which we celebrate lengths of sobriety by handing out crosses as a tangible reminder of the changes God is making in our lives. All are welcome!

THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
(All leaders are listed alphabetically by first name)
Dan Edwards
Servant Leader
From my preteen years, I was addicted to anything and everything that would alter my mind and help ease my emotional pain. At age 21, I came to faith in Jesus as my Savior. Miraculously, I was delivered of all my chemical addictions! However, for years I knew something was not working in my life. The Holy Spirit had been gently guiding me toward a profound shift in my thinking. I had never given Jesus full reign over my life. When I was introduced to the 12-step program by a good friend and listened to his testimony of the freedom in Christ he’d experienced through working the steps under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, I realized I needed to give Jesus Lordship of my life. I came to understand that working through the 12 steps is the ultimate discipleship tool to keep Jesus on the throne of my life and me off the throne. I have been a professional musician since age 12 and to use these gifts in service for our fellowship community at Recovery Church Northampton and to be on the leadership team is a great honor and privilege. I am passionate about encouraging fellow strugglers to seek Jesus as the One having THE answers to living a sober, free, peaceful, and abundant life. I am married to my precious wife Sue and we serve alongside one another in this wonderful ministry.
Thom Venema
Campus Lead
Thom is a pastor and a grateful recovering alcoholic. By God’s grace, he celebrated 30 years of sobriety in November 2022. He and his wife, Cathy, have lived their entire married lives on a mission, mainly launching new churches. God has rescued me from deep brokenness and brought me into gradual, steady restoration with Christ at the center of my life. Today, his passion is to share his story with those struggling to find a way out of substance abuse and addiction.
