SERVICE
The Service
Recovery Church Peoria is both a church and a recovery fellowship centered on Jesus, discipleship, and the 12 Steps. Everyone is welcome. Whether you are in recovery, struggling with addiction, coming out of jail or treatment, supporting someone you love, or simply looking for a church where you can come as you are, there is a place for you here.
Doors open every Friday at 6:30 PM for light refreshments and fellowship, with service beginning promptly at 7:00 PM. We start with prayer, followed by contemporary worship, a brief testimony, and a message connecting Scripture to recovery and real life.
The last Friday of every month is Anniversary Night, where we celebrate lengths of recovery by handing out crosses as a tangible reminder of the changes Jesus has made in our lives.
Our heart is to bridge the gap between the church and the rooms and see Peoria break free from addiction.
Tattoos or a three-piece suit, years sober or just looking for hope, come as you are. You are welcome here

THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
(All leaders are listed alphabetically by first name)

Cindy Cravens
Servant Leader
Cindy Cravens gave her life to Jesus more than 45 years ago. Although she has never personally struggled with drugs or alcohol, addiction has touched nearly every season of her life, from her teenage years through marriage and eventually through her son.
As Cindy puts it, “Addiction ruined my life, and I’ve never done a drug.”
Over the years, Cindy has served as a lead pastor and has worked in homeless ministry, prison ministry, 12-step recovery, and faith-based recovery. Those experiences gave her a heart not only for the person struggling with addiction, but also for the families struggling right beside them.
Cindy’s heart for Recovery Church Peoria is simple: love people where they are, walk beside them, and point them toward Jesus.
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10

David Cravens
Servant Leader
David Cravens is originally from Peoria and knows firsthand what it means to need recovery, grace, and another chance. His story includes addiction, jail, rehabs, relapse, and ultimately surrendering his life to Jesus.
David and his wife, Jahnna, have eight children and five grandchildren and lead Relentless Hope. Together they are recovery advocates and marriage mentors, walking alongside individuals and couples whose lives and marriages have been impacted by addiction. They are also Christian Hip Hop artists who travel nationally sharing their music and testimony, as well as authors of The Redeemed Outlaw Recovery and Marriage Devotional and One Day Can Change a Decade. Everything they do comes back to how they live recovery today: day by day, brick by brick, working the steps and surrendering to Jesus.
David is passionate about Recovery Church because this isn’t just ministry to him. It’s personal. He gets to bring hope back to the same city where some of his hardest chapters were written and remind people they can walk through the doors exactly as they are.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him.” Romans 15:13

Juan Rios Jr.
Campus Lead
Juan Rios Jr. serves as Campus Lead for Recovery Church Peoria. Juan and his wife, Amanda, have been married for 28 years and have five children. Together, their family carries a recovery story marked by God’s grace, from addiction and relapse to restoration.
Juan also serves as Director of Hope Servant, a homeless outreach focused on Helping Our People Everywhere.
Juan’s heart for Recovery Church Peoria is to create a safe place where anybody can walk through the doors exactly as they are. Whether you know Jesus, are struggling with your faith, or don’t know what you believe yet, you are welcome. His desire is for people to find love, support, community, and ultimately have a real encounter with Jesus Christ.
“Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” Luke 14:23
