THE LEADERSHIP TEAM

(All leaders are listed alphabetically by first name)

Lewis McCarter

Reverend

Rev. Lewis McCarter is pastor of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church and will be leading Providence Strong Tower Ministry Recovery Church locations throughout South East Ohio. Prior to his appointment as pastor he was an outreach minister and chaplain for a recovery housing program in Dayton, Ohio where he currently lives. He is a retired healthcare manager and used to work as a social worker and addiction counselor prior to moving into management. Pastor McCarter grew up in a family where addictions were prevalent. He even had his own challenges until being delivered by the Heavenly Father.

Mark Brake

Leader

Brother Mark Brake will be leading Recovery Church at Zion Baptist Church where he is a member. He is no stranger to the personal prison of addiction, and wondrous recovery through faith in Jesus Christ. Having grown up experiencing addiction both personally and within his family, Mark understands firsthand the deep challenges and complexities that come with substance abuse. Those experiences have shaped his compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to working in the substance abuse field. He is passionate about encouraging recovery, restoring hope, and walking alongside individuals as they rebuild their lives. His faith is central to who he is, and as an active member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Mark is grateful to serve in the music ministry, using worship as a source of strength, healing, and encouragement for others.

Shawn Robinson

Reverend

Rev. Shawn Robinson is the Associate Minister at Zion Baptist Church in Beaver and will assist leading Providence Strong Tower Ministry Recovery Church locations throughout South East Ohio. He currently resides in Chillicothe, Ohio. Addiction was prominent in his family where his youngest sister overdosed three times but now is a success story. He has a history of alcohol abuse, but was delivered by the grace of God. After working for 43 years he is now retired and now serves in ministry full time.
