SERVICE
The Service
Recovery Church Worcester County meets every Thursday at 7:00PM. We begin the 12 step meeting with relevant worship music, followed by a devotional teaching or testimony, then a 30 minute "open share" time in which people can share what is on their hearts in a small group setting. The last Thursday of the month is Anniversary Night. It is a time in which we celebrate lengths of recovery and hand out crosses as tangible reminder of the changes God has made in our lives.

THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
(All leaders are listed alphabetically by first name)

Carla Barnicle
Servant Leader
Carla grew up in a home overshadowed by the darkness of addiction, with alcoholic parents who unknowingly shaped her early years. As Carla grew older, she found herself trapped in similar cycles of dysfunction and brokenness. Carla’s relationships were tangled with Codependency (Co-addiction), and in 2018 Carla lost her mother and turned to a season of binge drinking to numb the pain of her reality. No matter how hard Carla tried, the chains of bondage seemed unbreakable. Carla realized that her own life had become completely unmanageable. Desperate and at the end of her own strength she gave up trying to fix her life, realizing that it simply was not working. She surrendered and found the answers did not exist in self-effort or in the world, but in the loving embrace of a Savior who redeemed her from the pit of despair and brought her into a life of hope and purpose. Through her journey, Carla learned that true recovery begins with surrender — not to her circumstances, but to the God who holds the power to break every chain. Her journey from bondage to freedom fuels her passion for guiding others toward the same light that she found.

Robyn Stokowski
Servant Leader
Robyn has lifelong roots in Worcester County and has been an active ally in the recovery community for over 5 years. Active Addiction has impacted her life on many levels, an opioid overdose of an immediate member of her family made the greatest impact. Working through this crushing loss is when she came to have the greatest understanding of God’s perfect character, and that Jesus is the living hope of the hopeless. Her heart's desire is to introduce Jesus to the sick and the broken and witness His transforming work.
