SERVICE
The Service
Starting June 18th, Recovery Church Venice will meet every Thursday at 6:00 pm. We begin the service with relevant worship music, followed by a sermon or testimony and then a 30-minute "open share" time in which people can share their hearts in a small group setting. The last Saturday of every month is Anniversary night. It's a time which we celebrate lengths of recovery and hand out crosses as a tangible reminder of changes God has made in our lives

THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
(All leaders are listed alphabetically by first name)

Carol Hoskins
Servant Leader
My name is Carol. Together with my higher power, Jesus Christ, I have been free of alcohol addiction for over twenty three years. I have worked the twelve steps in AA and Naranon and have attended AA emotional sobriety workshops for over two years. I have an addict and alcoholic in my life who are very dear to me and have seen the ups and downs of addiction and the wonderful power of recovery.

Don Hoskins
Servant Leader
My name is Don . I was instantaneously delivered from alcohol with the power of Jesus Christ eight years ago and have attended AA, Naranon and Al-Anon meetings. I have alcoholics and addicts in my family and understand the importance of recovery to family members and the addict.

James Kuykendall Sr
Servant Leader
Born in Marion NC, was moved to Punta Gorda FL at two weeks old and continues to live there. I had my first taste of alcohol at age 6 and started using drugs at about age 10 and continued to progress for the next 50 years. After countless bad relationships and run-ins with law enforcement, I was introduced to the AA program in 2015. I attended my first meeting on October 25th 2015 God broke the chains of addiction and healed me, and by His grace I was saved, I haven't looked back. Over the years I've had many great mentors including Dr. David Sutton. By the prompting of the Holy Spirit I attended Covenant Bible College and Seminary for 2 years. In 2022 I attended my first Recovery Church Movement National Conference and later attended the Recovery Church Institute. I serve on the leadership team at RC Venice. I have developed a passion for helping those still in active addiction and through faith and Jesus Christ, I believe everyone can be healed. Today I have a prayer life that surrounds my ministry
