ANDY BLAIR

LAKE WALES - FLORIDA

Andy's family has loved Lake Wales since the moment we visited here 5 years ago. Andy and his wife Becky were raised in Kentucky, and they will celebrate 30 years of marriage in August. Becky is currently in her 5th year of teaching at Polk Avenue Elementary. They have two daughters who are both married and have careers. Andy loves hunting, fishing and golf. In 2006, Andy found himself bankrupt spiritually, mentally, physically, and found himself in a drug and alcohol rehab. There he surrendered to God, and since then, God has been working in and through him and his family. Andy says he spent the first almost 40 years of his life serving himself and made a vow that for the rest of his life he would use his experience, story, and his passion to serve others. In 2020 God placed a vision for a different kind of place, a faith-based residential regeneration program in Lake Wales to help guide men towards sobriety through a God-centered life.  It's only fitting that Andy launch a ministry on 3-22 that will further expand the Gospel to all who are suffering from addiction to the entire community of Lake Wales.

JIMMY BRADDOCK

RCM / COLUMBIA - SOUTH CAROLINA

After years of seeking peace, acceptance, and fulfillment through alcohol and many other things, Jimmy found himself in total despair. It was a place of helplessness and hopelessness, and he did not want to live anymore. Through a series of events, he cried out to God to help him or let him die. He wanted and expected the latter, BUT GOD had other plans. He ended up in a treatment facility and started down the road to recovery in the rooms of AA. He had fully committed to this program of recovery and had a "Spiritual awakening as the result of these steps" but had not fully surrendered to the God who had delivered him from that hopeless state. When he fully surrendered and allowed the Lord to have His way with him, he began to experience a freedom that he'd never experienced before. For the last 15+ years, God has allowed him to work with hundreds of folks in Christ Centered recovery settings. Further testament to His Grace is his amazing wife of 30+ years, Julie, and his two beautiful daughters, Keli and Karis.

CAREY CAMPBELL

DELRAY BEACH - FLORIDA

Carolyn Campbell, "aka Carey", has been married to Robert Douglas Campbell for 65 years. She's the mother of two sons and one daughter (each of whom she feels is far more talented than she), and the grandmother of seven grandsons, and two granddaughters. A 1968 graduate of Wheaton College, Carey also holds a Masters Degree from Hofstra University, and attended Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, NY where she worked towards an MDIV degree. For the past 50 odd years, God has called her to work with, love, and encourage people whose lives are often in chaos. After she retired from teaching, Carey helped found Grace Women's Ministry and Living Water for Women on Long Island and began mentoring and discipling women incarcerated on drug and alcohol related charges in New York which she did for 10 years before moving to Florida. In every situation, she has been humbly privileged to play a small role in the testimonies of those who, having lost hope in the world's promises, surrendered in faith to God's provision for true hope in Jesus Christ.

deb copeland

HILTON HEAD ISLAND - SOUTH CAROLINA

At fifty, I retired from my career to work for God. I have attended seminary, received my master’s in biblical counseling, and will soon complete my Doctor of Theology. Working as a pastor, counselor, and lover of souls has brought me to a place of healing and forgiveness. I love watching God work in the lives of others. I have learned to trust God with my family, and I know His plans are His, and I only get to participate prayerfully, not play God. A few years ago, I met Pastor Phil. We immediately became the closest of friends, and I fell in love with Recovery Church. I felt “I had come home.” I met many of you and realized you are family! You are my brothers and sisters in Christ, and we are all walking the journey of healing and recovery together. There is no place I’d rather be in communion with all of you.

ANDY FREDEN

SHELBY - NORTH CAROLINA

Someone told me they've never had 60 days sober in their life, I laughed! But when I thought about it, I'd never had 30 days in a row of continuous sobriety. I drank and drugged myself into such a hopeless hole, there was absolutely nothing left for my to do but die. Then Christ came, Jesus my Lord...my Savior pulled me out of the hell I was in and I was reborn a new creation!!

WILL MOTOSICKY

DAYTONA BEACH / PALM COAST - FLORIDA

Where to begin ..... I am Will and I'm a recoverED addict. That's a fitting introduction. Many years ago, after multiple trips in and out of institutions and the court ordered rooms, I found myself in a place which was focused on the solution, not the addiction. A place where I was told to take the cotton balls out of my ears and put them in my mouth. This place was exactly what I needed, as I launched out on a course of vigorous action. Recovery Church is meeting you where you're at.

Robert has been clean and sober since October 2004 from drugs and alcohol. It was in 2008 that he moved to Montana, where he surrendered to Jesus as Lord of his life, met his wife Meghan and was called into ministry. Robert served bi-vocationally from 2009 till 2021 in Montana. He was introduced to Pure Desire in 2017 and since July 2017 he has been sober from the sex and love addiction which saved and transformed his marriage. Robert is extremely passionate about Jesus, his recovery, wife and family, and helping others discover how loving and powerful Jesus truly is.
